Director Dr. Greg Allen, MFT
In addition to being the Director of Freedom4U, Dr. Greg Allen has been a Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist for over 25 years. He has a counseling practice in the Palos Verdes Peninsula area. Greg is a frequent speaker in the community on youth and family topics. Allen is also the Program Director for the Thelma McMillen Center for Chemical Dependency Treatment at Torrance Memorial Medical Center. Greg oversees all aspects of Adult & Adolescent Programs including managing a staff of 30 while guiding the treatment for this community based program.

Allen is considered an expert in Substance Abuse Prevention and Intervention with young people and adults. Formerly Greg was the Clinical and Administrative Director of the UCLA/Matrix Institute Integrated Substance Abuse Adult and Adolescent Programs. Dr. Allen directed the staff of 5 separate programs including National and Regional research, County/Judicial, Non-profit and Private programs for the UCLA/Matrix Institute services.

As Director of Freedom4U, Greg Allen’s focus is towards facilitating the growth of young people's abilities. Allen has a strong community relationship in the Palos Verdes Peninsula and the South Bay areas. He is the son of former NFL legend Coach George Allen and went to Intermediate and High School in Palos Verdes Peninsula and currently lives there with his family.
