Releasing Youth Into Purpose

2019  Fundraiser Re-Cap

On Sunday April 28th, 2019 Freedom4U hosted our annual Freedom Breeze Fundraiser in efforts to raise funds for our youth programs! With the support and attendance of those in the community, our sponsors, and longtime Freedom4U supporters, we had a blast at this year's fundraiser and hope you did too!

As guests arrived at our tropical garden party, they were greeted by a jaw-dropping spread of Sushi, created by the amazing Harlan Chin from ACE Sushi, as well as delicious Italian food, desserts, and more. As donors and guests mingled, our talented teens took center stage to play some jazz tunes, entertaining everyone with their unforgettable talent!

A few very talented teens took the stage to truly “wow” everyone with their talent and share their passion with the crowd. Caterina Sabra serenaded us with an Amy Winehouse song and Kate Kresser left us speechless with her beautiful original song.

Head on over to our Facebook page to see videos of Dr. Greg Allen, Freedom4U founder, talking to Freedom4U teen participants Aaron Webman and Jason Mittleman who said a few words about how this organization has positively impacted them.

The silent auction was a huge hit, with items like Dodger Game tickets and Wine Tasting experiences selling out quickly! Thank you to the bidders whose purchases help support our organization!

At this year’s fundraiser, we truly had something special in store with our live auction items. Clover the Golden Retriever puppy stole the show and we're excited that she found her new home while allowing others to give back to Freedom4U at the same time!

This year, Freedom4U was ecstatic to recognize two people for their outstanding achievements and support for our organization. The Excellence in Education Award was given to Mr. Erick Miseroy who expressed his gratitude for Freedom4U's work in the community and shared his own experiences. The Teen Service Award went to Colton Russell who felt that our organization gave him a place to express himself creatively and allowed him to give back to others.

Lastly, Ashton Smith, who so generously donated his home to host our event, kicked off the live auction and rallied guests to make donations for a great cause! Some exciting live auction items included an autographed Fleetwood Mac album and concert tour poster, a 7-Day Stay in Park City Utah, and Philadelphia Eagles and Washington Redskins exclusive packages! All money raised at the event will go towards supporting recurring and new programs for youth, implemented by Freedom4U, in the South Bay and LA Harbor communities.

Check out this video clip at our 2019 Fundraiser from past students who shared their stories about how we helped shape their future:
